O’Malley is the highest maintenance camper out of our crew. He is sweet, loves to cuddle, and is very smart. He can also be anxious and lets himself get worked up over small things at times. Hmm…I wonder if he’s learned that from any of his humans. He’s worked hard on understanding that mom and dad will come back even when they walk out of his line of sight, and he’s come a long way and feels a lot more secure than when we first started camping. He loves hikes, but he mostly likes hanging out at the campsite on his bed with everyone around.
O’Malley’s Thoughts on Camping
"Don't go without me."
"I come too!"
"I call shotgun!"

Dany is a happy camper. She just goes with the flow and doesn’t let her surroundings affect her except for the occasional squirrel. She prefers to stay behind on long hikes because she’s in her golden years, but she doesn’t mind quick trips. She loves swinging in the hammock with her mom the most.
Dany’s Thoughts on Camping
"Is Mama going?"
"I'll clean any spills."
"Can I stay in the van's AC?"

We never thought we’d have a camping cat, but Smoosh is a special kitty. This video has a much better explanation for his full origin story, but basically he loves being outside with us. We keep him on a leash when we are camping, but he doesn’t mind it. At home, he is kind of a holy terror, but when we are camping he will just sit with us like he is at peace.
Smoosh’s Thoughts on Camping
"Can we go every weekend?"
"Is Dany going?"
"Bring my tent."

We also have a cat that prefers to stay at home, Cece. She would rather stay at home in her pineapple bed and enjoy the peace and quiet with everyone gone.
